Kari Lynch, RN

Our son M was born at DMH. He was a beautiful happy little boy. On our second day in the hospital, we were blessed to have Kari as our nurse. She expressed some concerns about M’s breathing to us and the pediatric doctor on staff. It was decided we would keep an eye on it and it was nothing to be concerned about yet. The next time she came into our room she expressed again that she felt something was not right and was very adamant tests be ordered and ran on M. That day we found out our little boy had Truncus arteriosus, which is a rare congenital heart defect. Kari was with us all day until we were transferred down to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She was so unbelievably kind and warm to us on one of the scariest days of our lives. Our family is forever grateful for her kindness and her wonderful nursing abilities.
