Upon leader rounding, Kari has been recognized for her excellent care. Many patients have stated how she "Goes above and beyond her call of duty," "She is so kind, caring and thorough in all her cares," "She knows what I need even before I do," "She truly is genuine and makes you feel comfortable and like you are her only patient," "Wonderful with pain management and teaching me about my medications." Kari treats every patient like they are her family. She is a true example of living the mission and takes to heart the phrase "Every patient is my patient."

This morning was very bittersweet as I said goodbye to my preceptor for the last time on my last preceptorship day. Kari pushed me out of my comfort zone so many times and I am so grateful for that! She taught me so much in our fast 7 weeks together and I thank her so much for truly making me a better nurse! She tells me all the time how great of a nurse I'm going to be and that is, in part, because of how amazing of a nurse she is! I will forever strive to be like her! I have never thought I'd like to work nights, in a hospital, with many patients, but Kari taught me it was possible. She's made me ready for my next milestones in my nursing career. Next step: Pass NCLEX! After that, be the best nurse I can be! Thank you so much, Kari, for everything.
