Our family would like to thank Kari VanKlompenberg for the care that she gave J during her recent challenging stay at Metro Hospital. J came to Metro with the flu. This quickly escalated into pneumonia, dialysis, a ventilator and three weeks of intensive care. During this time Kari went above and beyond to make sure that J was comfortable and received the best care. In addition, her kind, gentle and positive demeanor was very reassuring for the whole family during a trying time for all of us. It wasn't just the care, but the tenderness and sincerity with which she provided it that was so special and will forever be appreciated. One again we would like to offer our sincerest thanks to Kari. We were touched by her presence and believe that she exemplifies all the qualities of a DAISY Nurse.
