Kariann Phillip, RN

Kariann is the epitome of a caregiver. She stays hours late during her shift to help her patients and peers to meet the needs of our department. She often comes in on her off days to help. She recently had a patient assignment and one of her patients required her to be at the bedside all day. Even though most would be frustrated with this assignment, she took care of this man with respect and selflessness during each encounter she had with him. She skipped her lunch break to stay at his bedside to continue to monitor him closely. Her patient next door was frustrated due to her illness, and she did everything she could to help alleviate the challenges the patient faced. She is one of those nurses that even if you're having a terrible day, you smile when you see her name on the assignment sheet. I'm so grateful to have you as a colleague and a friend.
