One nurse on Grant 5 made a patient’s scary moment into a bearable and pleasant experience. Karie could tell I wasn't feeling well, and instead of walking away when I was snippy, she brought up the bracelets that my daughter made and asked about her and my family. She completely turned me around that day, and I looked forward to having her as my nurse. She treated me like family; she never just treated me like a patient.
