Karin Barnhard, RN, BSN
Karin had called the family of a young patient, which had endured cardiac arrest. Karin explained how grateful she was for the family donating their daughter’s organs to Gift of Life. Karin also expressed she knows it was a very difficult decision to have to make but think about all of those other people she is helping out. By Karin taking the time to call she eased the minds of the patient's parents. The mother stated that her anxiety has decreased and she felt better about their decision. Following that phone call, Karin is a very thoughtful nurse and truly puts her patients and family members at ease with her soothing demeanor. She also provides exceptional care to all clients. I just love to work with Karin and am proud to call her my co-worker.
