I would like to commend Karin Sandhu because she is truly one of the sweetest, most caring, and compassionate nurses I have ever met. Karin cared for me when I was four months pregnant and hospitalized with a kidney infection. During one of the hardest and most vulnerable times in my life, she made me feel safe, comforted, and genuinely cared for. She didn’t just treat me like a patient — she treated me like family. Her kindness, patience, and warmth made such a lasting impact on me and my mom that I never forgot her.

Then, when I returned unexpectedly to give birth, Karin remembered both me and my mom right away. She came to see me and gave me the warmest hug, and in that moment I felt so loved and supported. The fact that she remembered us months later speaks volumes about the kind of nurse and person she is. She goes above and beyond in ways that cannot be taught — her compassion is natural and genuine.

Karin is the kind of nurse every patient hopes to have during difficult moments. She made me feel seen, heard, and cared for beyond my medical needs. I will forever cherish the comfort and love she showed me during two unforgettable moments in my life. She inspires me deeply, and I strive to be as kind, caring, and compassionate as she is one day.
