I had a diabetic patient who is Medicare pending. The patient keeps being admitted due to no supplies/insulin at home. This was not even Karina's patient (not charge either) and she took time to call VNA and provide him with other alternatives for cheap supplies (Wal-Mart, Lilly, Will Grundy Clinic). This is an above and beyond moment which should be recognized! Hopefully, this will lower re-admissions for this patient.
