A procedure resulted in spiked temperature and possible sepsis, communicated promptly with Rapid Response nurse, and was checked for stroke and proactively began IV to help the patient quickly due to past history of onset sepsis.  Karissa was very calm during the extreme confusion stage of our father’s care and assured us she was doing everything to help improve his outcome.  She has been “Johnny on the Spot” promptly each shift and always asks if we need anything before she leaves the room.  She also never hesitated to change bedding herself and not push it off to others.  She is a top-notch nurse who loves her job and helping others!
