Karla was nominated by a patient's family. The Patient's son said, "when Karla took care of my father, our mother's dementia escalated because of the break in their routine. My mother was admitted to the geriatric/psych ward and could no longer visit my dad. My dad was extremely concerned and wanted to see mom. Karla arranged for us to help my parents have a "FaceTime" call with one another. We would have never thought of this, and we appreciated not only her compassion but her creativity."
