Karla has been so supportive and caring for R. She was one of the first nurses we had once he moved to the 3rd floor after heart surgery. And now one of the last as we prepare for discharge. She was genuine about how she cared for him, easy to be around and deserving of recognition.

They also sent a video that said the following:

"Hi. We wanted to just take a minute to share how deeply thankful we are each of you at Bethany Children's whether it was changing his diapers, rocking him to sleep, praying over him and for him or welcoming us as we visited and welcoming our family. Each of you has impacted R's life in a really unique way, and we're so thankful for that. Karla, your heart and care for R was remarkable. I remember specifically how you talked to him as you cared for him and you made caring for his needs seem so simple and natural and just taught us by your example. We could easily see your heart for kids with complex care needs."
