My husband had 3 tibia surgeries in 9 days. After each, cultures were done in order to determine the degree of infection remaining; Karlene was the bearer of bad news but was so very upset with the results. She always reassured us of the positive. Even if she was not his nurse for the day, she still came in and was so concerned. With her day off and my husband's 4th surgery coming up, she again was so concerned and gave him encouragement and would see him when she returned. Karlene is so very caring and very professional.
