Karli was so empathic to our family. She has been a blessing during such a difficult time.
My mother-in-law came into the ER with a host of issues including septic shock from diverticulitis and stage IV cancer. She underwent surgery to put in a colostomy bag, but she just wasn’t recovering, and her other health issues got progressively worse. She fought as she has for so long but ultimately made the decision to go on hospice. I’m usually with her during the day at the hospital at which time Karli has been her nurse. Her compassion, treating my mother-in-law with such dignity and respect, empathy, and kindness have been amazing. She went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and that all her needs were met. When my mother-in-law decided on hospice, Karli was so empathic to our family. She has been a blessing during such a difficult time. During a time when we hear how overworked and exhausted nurses are leading to job burnout and career changes, I can assure you that was not the case with Karli. She’s worked 6 out of the last 8 days but somehow each day brings the same positive attitude, high level of care, and compassion to patients. My husband, sister-in-law, and myself are so grateful for her. My mother-in-law is still with us and making the transition likely soon, but we will never forget all that Karli did, from endless cups of ice, constant bed shifting for comfort, meds to ease the pain, sweet words to my mother-in-law when checking on her, and a calm demeanor that helped keep us all calm. Thank you, Karli, for helping our family find comfort in knowing our mother/mother-in-law was treated so well by you. We are eternally grateful.
