Karli Rock, RN

Karli took care of an OB patient who had a uterine rupture with fetal demise. The patient was brought to our unit intubated and sedated. Karli worked efficiently to stabilize her patient and wean sedation so she could be extubated. Karli got her patient's nausea and pain under control enough that she was able to bring her patient to the NICU so she could say her goodbyes to her infant son, who was on life support. Karli stayed by her patient's side, providing nursing care for 4 hours during this extremely intimate and emotional time. She provided excellent care to her patient in a professional, compassionate, and empathetic manner. This patient specifically requested that Karli be her nurse the following day. Karli is a phenomenal nurse and a wonderful human being. I can think of no other nurse who deserves a DAISY Award more than her.
