Karly was recognized by a family she cared for in her role as a labor and delivery Registered Nurse. The spouse of the birthing mother shared his experience with Karly as their nurse, “It may have been an ordinary day for Karly, but it was extraordinary for our family because of the kindness, care and support Karly provided throughout our stay.” Karly’s approach was “without cajoling or pushing, without insisting or demanding, Karly gently and patiently persuaded my wife to do what we needed to do, despite her pain and slow progress. I was expecting Karly to be there for my wife, but she leveraged monumental gentle strength to calm, assure, persuade and encourage a nervous dad as well, all while delivering our baby. Karly was truly amazing!”
