A patient presented with a complaint of being tired. Karlynn immediately recognized the critical nature of the situation, alerting the MD and other staff to assist her to care for the patient. The patient's heart rate was critically low; Karlynn led the care to ensure a positive outcome. All the while she worked quickly, she remained calm and reassuring to the patient and her daughter who is an oncology patient.
Karlynn assisted and educated the flight crew on the patient's transition of care. Two days after the ER visit the patient called back in tears to leave a message of thanks. She was so grateful that the staff had saved her life when she didn't realize how sick she was. She wanted to thank everyone. This is just one example of the extraordinary care Karlynn provides.
