My husband was in the ER 2 times in Ripon that he was provided care by Karmen. Karmen went out of her way to make sure my husband, B, was comfortable. B is a big guy and he could not get comfortable on the ER gurney. He had a very low hemoglobin and needed blood transfusions before being transferred to St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. St. Mary's wanted 3 units of blood in him before he could be transferred. Because he was so uncomfortable and agitated, Karmen ordered a regular hospital bed to be brought to the ER to make him comfortable. As soon as he was in that bed, he calmed down enough to fall asleep. 

A couple of weeks later,my husband needed another visit to the Ripon ER, and before he arrived, Karmen made sure there was a hospital bed in the room for him when he arrived. She remembered he was more comfortable in that type of bed. She also did a great job of taking care of him. She is a very calming person and also very caring. B has been in the ER several times, and she was the one who made sure he was the most comfortable. We really appreciated it.
