Karrie is a wonderful nurse who cared for my father when he was in ICU. She was very compassionate and loving, she honestly became my mother's rock during one of the most painful days of her/our lives. Her care of my father was above and beyond. She would enter the room and speak to my dad as if he were awake and listening and would hold his hand with every prick. She would adjust him frequently to make him more comfortable. Her care and compassion didn’t stop with the patient. My mom credits loving nature for getting her through those rough days. I truly think she was Godsent for a time when we needed her most. We will be forever grateful for the warmth she showed my dad and the love she showed to my mom.

My husband was in ICU and on a vent for 9 days before he passed. Karrie was much more than his caregiver. Even though J was not conscious she always spoke to him and told him what she was doing and held his hand. She included the entire family in her caregiving, explained everything, and answered all our questions. If she couldn't answer she would make sure to find out. Over the years, J has been in the hospital several times, including ICU, and I can honestly say that we have never experienced the level of compassion and attention that Karrie gave us.
