When your loved one is ill, the last thing you want to do is leave them with strangers. You feel helpless and worried she won’t get the care she deserves. But we were lucky enough to have Karson as our nurse. He talked to us and, more importantly, listened to our mom. He was so kind and compassionate. He embodied the mission statement I read walking in. Instead of feeling like I was leaving my mom with a stranger, I felt like I was leaving her with a friend, and that made all the difference in the world.
