Kasey Heil, RN

I am the daughter of a patient in the 8ICU that recently received a liver transplant. Kasey Heil was my father’s nurse on post op day 0 and post op day 1. I am also a physician assistant myself so I hold medical care to a higher level than likely the average family member. I was absolutely blown away by Kasey's knowledge, efficiency, compassionate care and kindness. She is by far the best nurse I’ve ever encountered. She truly went above and beyond. She was in my father’s room consistently and on top of everything. She was basically like one of the surgical attendings.
She also provided hope and encouragement for my dad and our family when things were rough. Her manner is one that should be modeled by others. She is an extraordinary nurse and should be recognized by the hospital. She is a true asset to North Shore.
