...Kasey and Virginia found out about a patient on Unit 64 who had given birth the day before. The patient was not able to hold or see her child because she had active TB.
These wonderful women knew what a precious moment seeing one's newborn is, so they decided to make this difficult time a little easier. Virginia took her iPad to the mom while Kasey took her iPhone to the baby. They had arranged "face time" for the two.
