Kasey has been working with the hospital for a little over 15 years. She is a great person to work with and for. She always makes her team members feel comfortable and well prepared for any changes up and coming. Kasey has supported her team in so many ways that it's hard to tell about just one. She works side by side and helps pull the load when there are call outs. On top of all her other duties, she meets regularly with all her departments and listens to all their concerns. If there is ever a question that the team members are not sure where to look or who to call, we just ask and she always responds with appropriate direction. As a leader, she is very supportive of her team. When the Cancer Center added AMU, Kasey supported by fine-tuning the process to make it not only easy for the patient to navigate but also for team members. She is very open-minded, compassionate and knowledgeable. Whenever the clinic has to call an ERT, Kasey is there to assist in any way possible.
One day while a patient was being seen in a clinic, their family member became unresponsive and a code was called. Kasey was the first to arrive and immediately started CPR. As a result of this quick action, the family member regained consciousness and was transported to ICU for additional medical support.
Kasey is a great leader and team member for Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
