Kasey invented a Going the Extra Mile (Gem) Award for both pediatric practices. The system works very similar to the care award except these nominations come in from a co-worker and/or physicians of both Hanover and Lee Davis Pediatrics. She has created a nomination form and purchased GEM pins to be distributed to the nominated GEM recipient. Awards are presented on a monthly basis at both practices for one recipient chosen by administration and a physician.
