I am a nurse in the HF Infusion Center. I have a recurring patient who comes in three times a week. Prior to being a HFC patient, this patient was in and out of the hospital a lot. At his last appointment he was sharing with me his experiences. He was very depressed during this time. He had one nurse, Kasi, who kept reappearing and caring for him throughout the hospital stay. He was transferred to inpatient physical rehab. Kasi continued to visit him there. She would visit for hours and play cards with him. Now that he is home, she continues to have card visits with him. He said Kasi has made such a difference in his life and the life of his family. She is a great example of going above and beyond and living the Genesis Mission.
