Kassandra was very nice and attentive.  Always willing to answer any question.  Making sure our hospital visit was less stressful.  Checking in to make sure everything was well

Kassandra is very caring and attentive to my needs.  Going through a life situation, she stood by my side and comforted me and made me feel like everything was going to be okay!  She is an Extraordinary Nurse and deserves to be recognized.

Kassandra provided excellent translation services for me to perform an examination on the patient.  She was professional and put the patient at ease during the whole process.  The patient was better able to understand and ask questions during the process regarding his care, making it a seamless and overall more effective experience. Nurses like Kassandra are the reason I am able to perform my duties to a higher standard of care.

She was amazing when it came to attending to my dad.  She was helpful not only to him but to the entire family, giving us updates on what was going on.  She always had a smile and took care of my dad when he had to move around.

My dad is 57 years old and battling stage 4 gastric cancer.  With cancer comes complications, and unfortunately, those complications landed us in the emergency room Sunday night.  We had started in Toppenish Astria and had the worst luck. My dad had his right hand paralyzed, unable to move, leading us to believe it was a stroke.  After waiting 40 minutes and not being triaged by a nurse or anyone, I called Sunnyside ED and asked what the current wait time was.  The person on the phone was sooo nice and said no one I would try to get here soon those symptoms sound serious. As we were parking my mom grabed my dad out the car and my dad was leaning on her for support a nurse was at the door and brought a wheelchair out to us.  The nurses asked the reason for coming in and took my dad straight to the back as she knew the signs weren't good.  She allowed my mom in the room and asked me to finish checking in, we hadn't even been into the facility yet and were receiving the best care.  As soon as he went back, they ran a stroke code, leading us to be here for what is now a week.  After the evaluation they moved my dad into a bed where another nurse went above and beyond for my dad! She had to deal with all his funny, smart remarks to make her day go by faster, then as the week continued, we ended up in the ICU with Mrs. Kassandra.  I'm glad that whoever the nurse was decided to call in!  Kassandra has dealt with lots of family members asking questions, my dad's funny, smart remarks, checking on my dad, making sure he wasn't in pain, she literally became family while she was caring for my dad! We were sad that she left for vacation because we were scared of not being as spoiled!  Every medication, every walk, every good and bad news we got, Kassandra was there to help us through it all, making the hard times no one wants to deal with more bearable.  Kassandra, you deserve this award and more!  You are amazing and we will forever be thankful for the care you provided for my dad!
