I recently lost my wife of 37 years. We found out that she had terminal cancer. Her spine was full of cancer and crumbling. My wife opted to die pain-free and comfortable. Kate assisted her in her wish. My lovely wife died pain-free with dignity. Kate not only helped with my wife but she took care of our family. Kate made sure that my special needs daughter had a bed to sleep in and food to eat. My daughter still has the stuffed dog that Kate gave her. It is in a place of honor on her computer.
Kate made sure that our spiritual needs were met by the hospital chaplain. The chaplain was able to get a priest to come to the hospital to give last rites for my wife. Kate was truly comforting to our family. She went above and beyond her job. Kate gave us a copy of my wife's last heartbeat in a glass tube. We will cherish this forever.
Kate is a special nurse who cared for our whole family with compassion and professionalism. She is a great asset to your hospital. I can't thank her enough for what she did.
