When I came in on Monday in labor, Kate was ready and very welcoming. She made the situation very calm from the start. She did all the things she needed to do, but was understanding when I had a contraction coming on or needed a minute to relax. She took my birth plan right away and did not try to push anything she knew I did not want. She definitely had the knowledge of natural labor and was supportive in giving us other ideas to keep things moving. We felt like she was part of our team. We had a Douala for our first birth and were a bit nervous to do it on our own this time, but it didn't seem to be a problem at all thanks to Kate's help. She carried out our wishes from the very beginning and we are so thankful she was our nurse.
