I have to use the ER at times when my chronic conditions are flaring up. During my various dates of services, I have been treated with many different bedside manners. I have been subjected to name calling, judgement, closed listening, ignored, rudeness, just to name a few. Today was a particularly bad day for me, yet Kate has been an absolute angel to me. She has been kind, empathetic and actively listened and did not make me feel as if I were wasting her time. She checked on me several times throughout the time I was there. This is the nurse that people want. Thank you, Kate. You really did make the situation better and you made me feel 100% comfortable, which never happens.
