Kate is an angel among nurses, and I will be forever grateful for her support and care on that day for my entire life.
Kate was my labor and delivery nurse for the birth of our IVF miracle daughter. As a first-time expectant mother who struggles with health anxiety, Kate immediately earned my trust in her care by greeting me, telling me she wanted my birth to be exactly how I wanted it to be, and that she was there specifically as my support and advocate.

She explained every single thing happening, every single option, the pros and cons for each decision. As someone who has struggled with expressing my needs, she advocated for my wishes every single time, she held me and coached me through my epidural, held my hand without hesitation through contractions, and she helped me make every decision regarding each step in the induction process.

In the most physically and emotionally vulnerable state of my life, she made me feel so safe, confident, and genuinely cared for as we brought our daughter into this world. That is the most beautiful gift to give a new mother. She helped keep our energy lifted, laughed when we could, and helped me navigate pain management during the labor process. She gifted us a book for our daughter to read on her birthday with a note inside for her.

As a librarian, I was over the moon at this beautiful gift. To make things even more serendipitous, we are both Kates, and she has a sister named my daughter's name, which is how we felt like my daughter's name was also fate. Kate is an angel among nurses, and I will be forever grateful for her support and care on that day for my entire life. I want her to know how thankful we are that she was our nurse and how lucky this organization and its patients are to have her.
