Katelyn exemplifies human kindness and emergency nursing at its best. She is a role model for all others to strive for in their nursing practice. Katelyn is unfailingly kind and compassionate to all patients in her care. Many of our patients are experiencing one of the worst days of their lives. Katelyn is able to make that experience less painful and stressful through her actions and care. She is also a fantastic resource for the department. Through her skills as a preceptor, she has been able to guide and train our new staff. All the new hires placed in her capable hands have gone on to be successful in the ED. She develops resources for other staff through her involvement in department initiatives. It is an honor to work with Katelyn!
