My son D was admitted to the PICU very dramatically, and things escalated rapidly. Though all the nurses were amazing, Katelyn stood out. She was empathetic and patient and really made sure that all of our concerns were heard and reacted to every change. She played a critical role in ensuring that D was extubated comfortably and safely. She worked with her team members not only in a professional capacity but also advocated for D. She communicated to all parties and was not only thorough but also thought outside of the box and ensured all aspects of care were completed!
