Katelyn baked sugar cookies and put yellow icing on them, like sunflowers. She put them in individual bags and attached a sunflower pin to each bag, along with the following scripture, 'May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face towards you and give you peace.' -Numbers 6:24-26.
She also explained that the reason for sunflowers is that if you look at the meaning of a sunflower it symbolizes faith and loyalty. They position themselves directly in front of the sun and are aware of something bigger and brighter than themselves. She loved the analogy and wanted her co-workers to keep the Faith and trust that the Lord would be gracious and give them peace. Thank you, Katelyn, for all you do!
