Katelyn in the ED Observation Unit is an angel! My mom was admitted to this unit and her stay in this unit was longer than expected. Then my mom was moved to a different room on Thursday evening. While my mom was in Katelyn's care, I knew she was going to be extremely well taken care of. Katelyn was extremely patient, kind and responsive to my mom. My mom cannot hear very well without her hearing aids. Katelyn made sure my mom understood what was happening and who was doing what and when she had to go for more tests and why.
In addition, my mom lost her special rosary and was very upset. Katelyn went to "Extraordinary" lengths to find my mom's rosary, including calling the cafeteria to see if it was on her tray. It was eventually found under my mom's sheet in the bed. Katelyn called the Chapel and had them bring up a rosary that my mom could use in the hospital.
Nurses like Katelyn make a scary stay in the hospital more comfortable. St. Anthony Hospital should be proud that Katelyn is on staff there. She is a great asset to them!
