Katelyn goes above and beyond for all of her patients. I have seen her stand by her patient’s family members’ side giving condolences after a passing. I've seen her run throughout the ER to look for a pillow, blanket, and hot meal for a little old lady just wanting a good night’s rest. I have personally had her help me provide care for critical patients. Katelyn is known in the ER for going out of her way to help her colleagues. Katelyn is never asked to help, but she is always the first to offer. Every day I come to work and it makes my night 10x better knowing that I have such a great, helpful, knowledgeable colleague to work alongside. When morale is down and people are exhausted or burnt out, Katelyn always has a positive attitude and seems to really bring the best out of those around her. Katelyn has made the SGMC ER a better environment for both the employees and patients. She provides exceptional care to her patients, is always willing to exceed their expectations, and also provides great support to her fellow coworkers. Katelyn is a true DAISY Nurse.
