Katelyn Zirkle goes above and beyond for patients and staff. She always has a smiling face and is always so helpful! She is always willing to jump in no matter the situation. She is available inside and outside of work to talk to for resources. She deserves this award for her wonderful personality and cheer. She goes out of her way to help the patients and staff in every way possible. This nurse has the most cheerful personality and treats everyone nicely. She is a wonderful nurse and coworker and deserves this recognition

Katelyn was my preceptor when I started this job as a new graduate nurse. Katelyn always made sure I was comfortable and understood what I was doing. She was always patient with me and explained answers to any questions I had asked. I never had to worry about having a bad day with Katelyn. She truly loves her patients and is a light to the other nurses on the unit. Katelyn is top tier, and I’m so lucky to have had her as my preceptor.

Most importantly, Katelyn gives her all to patients. I’ve seen her go above and beyond for patient care such as providing comfort, ensuring patients have any resources such as using the Davis House, and simply just being a kind heart. She listens to her patients and reassures them when they need it. She has a very calming presence, and it affects patients in the best way. The tools I’ve learned from her, I will carry with me throughout my career. Katelyn, keep being awesome!

Katelyn is an amazing nurse who takes the time to listen to others. She never hesitates to offer her help or knowledge to not only patients that she takes care of, but her co-workers as well. She takes the initiative to help the unit run smoothly. She is never without a smile on her face. The help she gives and the work she does, never goes un-noticed!
