My mother has been in and out of hospitals since she was 35 with serious diseases such as "Mac lung", macrobacterium abscesses, etc. Recently, my mother was admitted for pneumonia, she has a port that is to be accessed for IVs due to her brittle veins. After a difficult few days, the nurse went over and beyond to make my mother comfortable including making a call to the doctor to be able to access her port for IVs. What a blessing it is to have a nurse on your staff who communicates as well as she does, full of knowledge, and is confident providing treatment and care. She would be an amazing teacher. Hospitals need more nurses like her to teach great bedside manner, efficient care, an exuberant amount of compassion for her patients. To know she has a nurse so focused on providing nothing but excellent care and advocating for my mother brings me great peace in knowing she is going to be well cared for from her. She is the best nurse on your staff and a true DAISY Nurse.
