My 85-year-old dad is a patient. He was taken by ambulance for severe abdominal pain (bladder and bowel) issues, an infected toe, and has diabetes too. Dad has been through a variety of issues, and they are still trying to figure it out.

To say Katie is amazing is an understatement; she is phenomenal.

Her compassion and care and attention to every detail, catching what others miss- being thorough in all she does. Her joy, compassion, kindness, smile, genuine passion and knowledge in her skills is remarkable.

When she enters the room, she brings warmth, patience, and a reassuring presence. She treats my dad not only as a patient but as a person with dignity, respect, kindness, and heart.

Her gentle manner and attentive listening made my dad feel safe, valued, and heard. She always explains every step of his care to him and his family. She always smiled, never rushes and answers questions he or his family has.

She took the time to not only care for my dad, but also to explain things to us, and always made us feel welcomed at visits. She has an amazing sense of empathy!

In a profession where skill is vital, Katie combines her expertise with a rare and remarkable humanity. In every interaction, she goes above and beyond. Katie definitely makes a lasting impression in the lives she serves.

She truly represents IH in an excellent way.
