Katherine was kind and compassionate, explained options, gave me choices, and normalized all of it.
Katherine came in on her night off (1 pm) she became the right hand in taking care of a vented and critically ill patient who was awaiting transfer to Dartmouth. Because the main RN was unable to leave the patient's side, Katherine ran around looking for and getting all necessary meds and equipment. Katherine’s position was crucial and she did it without a problem. Her knowledge and fast thinking were exceptional in getting things done fast.

I came in with really embarrassing symptoms, requiring even more embarrassing treatment. She was kind and compassionate, explained options, gave me choices, and normalized all of it. Nice, knowledgeable, and skillful. She kept me updated and informed.

Our five-year-old son was seen in the emergency department for croup and wheezing. Katherine was our nurse, and she was both professional and compassionate in the care she provided for our son. She used humor to connect with him and gave him choices and opportunities to do things himself so he could feel involved during the nebulizer treatment he received. When he fell asleep afterward she checked on us quietly so he wouldn’t be disturbed, and I gave her a thumbs up to let her know all was well, and I could see her smile beneath her mask. She went out of her way to update my husband in the waiting room on how our son was doing. She was incredibly kind and the amazing care that she and the doctor provided was so appreciated. Thank you, Katherine.
