I underwent coronary artery bypass surgery and subsequently spent eight days in the hospital.Kat was my nurse in the cardiac care unit for three days and in a word did an outstanding job. She delivered compassionate care, actively and willingly listened to my needs and identified a solution that gave me much needed pain relief during my most difficult day and time. Despite various medications and methods, my discomfort and pain continued to escalate until "my nurse" listened and took action that provided immediate relief. In addition, I will always recall her taking the time for personal conversations and in joining hands with me, my spouse and a fellow church member for a moment of prayer.
She is truly a special person who demonstrates great care for her patients and I will always remember and remain grateful for what she did to assist me and how she went about delivering her role. I trust she makes an equal difference in the lives of all whom she touches and I simply thought others should know.
