Katherine Macabuag, BSN, RN

It is sometimes hard to express in words how amazing Katherine is, but here are a few. Her hard work, determination, and compassion are unparalleled. Informally known as 'Kaye," she is well deserving of this recognition. Over the years, Kaye has worked her way up to her current position as Nurse Manager, and she has not taken that title lightly. She is constantly developing new ways to improve patient care at the Bennett Cancer Center. Kaye's door is always open, and she always makes every member of the team feel appreciated and loved. She supports us in our current roles and in any future roles we seek to achieve. She celebrates our achievements and encourages us to develop our skills. Kaye, I believe, is a prime example of what it means to be a Stamford Health employee. She sees everyone for the person they are, not just their titles. She is always involved in fundraising for the Bennett Center, any events geared toward maximally supporting our patients and celebrating every one of her colleagues from birthdays, marriages, and new babies, and spotlights their continued dedication and care. I am so fortunate to have her as my manager and friend. She also has a great sense of humor that brings joy and laughter to a department that treats patients during one of the most difficult times in their lives. She always holds her hand out and will always be there to help in any way she can.
