My story starts about 3 years ago. I was a visitor of a patient at the time, but during our almost 4 month stay, nurse Katherine did something for us that no one had ever done. You see at the time I was pregnant. She always found me a nice bed, a snack, or even assistance to stuff which the hospital didn't provide.
It was my birthday. My husband had been in the hospital for about 2 months and asked Katherine for help. He wanted my 30th birthday to be as special as it could be even though we were in the hospital. He didn't have any cash on him because he gave it to me to buy a cup of chicken salad, but when I arrived at the hospital that day, Katherine did not ask my husband for a penny. She traveled down to the gift shop and bought about $10 worth of items with a bag and a bow. She told my husband she was here for him and wished both of us the best. I received a gift and a dance that day that was so special.
I was 30 and pregnant with a spouse that had chronic pancreatitis. Katherine helped us have a romantic moment in a horrific period of time. Later I gave birth to my son at the same hospital. Katherine remembered and came to visit me. She is an angel, honest, tough, truthful, but soft and sweet. A true friend, and an extraordinary nurse. I know it's been too long, but I always said I would take the time to fill this form our for her and today is the day. You are lucky to have her. She is amazing!
