I had the pleasure of having Katie as my nighttime nurse for three consecutive nights.I have never before experienced care like she gave me.She was always willing and wanting to do anything she could to make things easier for me.She has the most unique blend of kindness, compassion, expertise, and care.Every request, no matter how big or small, was met with upbeat positivity. I have a neurological disease and lost bowel control in my sleep twice in one night.I woke up feeling so humiliated; I was ashamed and embarrassed. When I called for Katie, the kindness she gave was unbelievable.She was so patient and reassured me over and over that this was nothing to be ashamed of, that everyone has things happen and most of all, it was not my fault. By the time I came out of the bathroom she had made up my bed with such care, I just had to say something about Katie.She is a unique gem who radiates kindness, is always on top of what she is doing professionally, and no doubt loves what she is doing.
