Katie provided emotional support throughout my labor process and held my hand as I gave birth for support.
Having your first child and not knowing what to expect is extremely scary and nerve-wracking. However, having your first child during a pandemic is even harder. I had to be induced and go straight from the doctor to the hospital. I didn't have my bags, I wasn't able to eat. So I was entered my room while my husband went home to gather everything. I was shaking with fear not knowing if my baby was okay if I was okay.

My nurse Katherine (Katie) from the moment I arrived went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe and comfortable. She came in just about every 2 minutes to make sure I didn't need anything. If I had any questions she would explain them to me, no questions asked. She provided emotional support throughout my labor process and held my hand as I gave birth for support. When I got my epidural (I had to get it twice) my husband was not allowed in the room which made me panic. Nurse Katie was there holding me and once again providing support and comfort. She allowed me to cry and slobber all over her shirt with no complaint. She was amazing!
