Kathy was so welcoming to me and went beyond her duties. She would come in and help me with my bath, change my dressings on my catheter and so many other things that it is hard to remember them all. She would change my bed linens and take me on walks around the unit. She is such an asset to this hospital and the patients.

Patients come first as far as Kathy is concerned. Even if Kathy is busy all day, she stops in to see if I need anything before, she goes home. She is an outstanding nurse, person, and patient advocate. She is kind, considerate, professional and a tur Hero!

Kathy was so special, she does so many things for me that I am so happy to nominate her for the DAISY Award. She helped me with everything from cleaning to whatever else was needed. I cannot name everything that she did for me. I love her. I do not want to come unless she is here. If she takes a vacation, I do not want to come back until she comes back from her vacation. She is the best. She put in my catheter, cleaned my body, brushed my teeth, set up my bed so I will not have bedsores, and set up my wheelchair so I will be comfortable.

She showed me how to wash so that I will not get an infection. She made sure I got my Boost – just so many things she taught me so I could take care of myself. I look forward to seeing her when I come back to the hospital. I would not want to come back to the hospital without seeing her. I love her so much!
