Dear Nurse Brown,
I wanted to thank you (and all the ER staff) for all your efforts to try and save my husband's life. When you and the doctor told me he had passed away and that how the nursing staff had run to meet the helicopter, I knew that everything that was possible to do had been done.
I so appreciate your wisdom that I sit with him and talk to him for a few hours. We had 45 years together and it was a shock that he died so suddenly. I appreciate that you told me you stroked his head and told him it was okay for him to go.
Thank you for everything you and the ER staff did to help him and me. I know everyone worked hard to save him, but it was not meant to be.
