Kathy is a resource and clinical specialist in neurosurgery and orthopedic spine. She scrubs and circulates cases in both services. Kathy is reliable and always has a smile on her face. She encourages happy and effective communication with surgeons, staff and leadership. Currently she is the chair of the Unit Based Council and is working on projects to spearhead patient safety initiatives. Along with leadership, she has plans in place to increase PRC patient safety key drivers. Kathy is working on a process improvement for effective communication with patients waiting on surgical start times. She is currently a member of AORN and is CNOR certified. Kathy is patient and generally doesn't complain about assignments. She typically will staff difficult cases. She is a treasure to have on staff and as a friend.
