I brought my 87-year-old mother in with elevated blood pressure, a fast heart rate, and just not feeling right. Kathleen made us feel like my mother was the only patient she was caring for by bringing her hot soup, explaining everything in detail, and repeating anything when necessary. She broke the news gently that my mom would have to stay the night, took her up to telemetry, and then to themost fabulous hospital room ever with a view of the mountains and a fireplace.
