I would like to nominate an extraordinary nurse, Kathleen Doherty, who worked on 3 East and provided exceptional care for my son. As a nurse myself, I am truly inspired by her compassion and dedication to her profession. From the moment we met Kathleen, it was evident that she does not simply fulfill her duties; she goes above and beyond to ensure her patients are comfortable and cared for. My son, who is just six years old and dealing with misalignment of his C1 and C2, received the utmost attention and care from her. Kathleen's patience and willingness to take the time to understand and meet my son’s needs made a world of difference in his recovery. Every day she worked, we felt a sense of excitement and comfort knowing he was in such capable hands. Kathleen consistently checked in on us, asking if we needed anything, and this level of attentiveness did not go unnoticed.
