Katie has been my primary infusion nurse since I began treatment at Dana-Farber in June 2015. She demonstrated a cool head and the utmost professionalism and concern when I had a reaction to my first infusion. Since then, my husband and I look to her for advice, understanding, and advocacy. Katie is personable and caring. She also has a great sense of humor, which puts us at ease during a difficult time. She has a great rapport with the doctors and the rest of the team on the sarcoma floor. She is astute and responsive and asks the right questions. A few times when we've had late appointments, she's stayed behind after her shift to touch base. We consider Katie a medical professional whom we respect and admire, and also a friend.
