I am pleased to write this letter of recognition for Kathy Folger, RN, as an outstanding mentor. I first met Kathy in August 2011 at Jupiter Medical Center, when she began her job as a circulating nurse in the Operating Room. From 2011 to present, she has been a wonderful mentor to each of my students.

It is obvious, from the moment you start working with Kathy, that she is very skilled, knowledgeable and passionate about working in the surgical environment. She always adheres to, and demonstrates proper surgical technique and standards, and always willing to take the extra time to ensure proper explanation of operating room policies and procedures. Many of my students have shared, that working alongside with Kathy has broadened their knowledge and has given them a more in depth understanding of their responsibilities as a healthcare provider in the Operating Room.

Kathleen Folger has been a great asset to the Operating Room. She is always volunteering to take the extra step, and this can make such a difference. She is friendly and a pleasure to work with in the Operating Room. I always feel that I must have got on someone's good side when Kathy has been assigned to my room.
